With competitive pay and benefits, safe and stable work, and an environment that is caring and supportive, National Beef could become your next career move!Responsibilities:Maintenance Superintendent responsibilities include but are not limited to:Primary Responsibility:The Plant Maintenance Superintendent has the overall responsibility of ensuring that the Maintenance department follows the facility maintenance plan as well as having the responsibility for executing a program of continual growth and development for the maintenance team. Periodic review of the skills matrix and crewing report with the supervisors will determine if the plan is effective.Key Roles and Responsibilities for the Maintenance Superintendent:The superintendent is responsible for maintaining a maintenance crew that is cross trained and able to step into different roles to ensure personnel changes do not impact production needs. A plan of continued growth for Supervisors and Techs will be measured by safety performance, efficiency, machine uptime, and compliance to corporate and community guidelinesThe Superintendent will work closely with the Scheduler/Planner and Production to maximize the effectiveness of projects and PMs. The Superintendent will communicate daily with the Plant Engineer to discuss matters and take directionAny other duties associated with the above duties as assigned by Plant EngineerThis is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.Qualifications:Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Superintendent position should possess the following:Fully knowledgeable of all safety procedures and rules pertaining to Maintenance and EnvironmentalExperience of all aspects of both departmentsBasic math skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance settingAbility to test chemical systemsAbility to create meaningful PMs with detail2 years of leadership experienceApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.Company Overview:At National Beef Leathers, we are proud to have the largest, most technologically advanced Wet Blue processing facility in the world.
