Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering
high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements
of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant
state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the
care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and
compassionate care, following established nursing models such as
"Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an
advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the
organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding
patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.What you will do
in this role:
- Assess the patient's condition during admission and each
scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in
patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered
by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely
documentation of care administration in the patient's medical
record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient
for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event
of an unintended response to the medication.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient
requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving
them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's
medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side
effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by
translating complex medical terminology.About this unit:
- Newly outfitted unit opened January 2023
- 32 bed Orthopedic & Spine Specialty unit -committed to the care
of post-operative patients
- Well establish care team consisting of registered nurses,
licensed practical nurses, patient care techs, clinical nurse
coordinators, and unit secretaries
- Supportive nurse leaders, experienced leads, joint navigators,
and exceptional physician support
- Patient-centered therapy gym located in department to allow for
close collaboration with our therapy teamWhat qualifications you
will need:
- -Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the
state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in
accordance with law and regulation. BLS required upon hire
required. -
- Minimum one year prior Registered Nurse/RN experience required.
Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred. is a
340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients.
We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and
Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain
Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's &
Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal
Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their
babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery
unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including
