Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to manage coding,
auditing, and data entry for surgeries and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Review documentation for accuracy and adherence to regulations
Communicate with physician practices for necessary documentation to
ensure accurate coding and billing
Participate in ICD-10 readiness initiatives
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma or GED
Three to five years of multi-specialty coding experience
Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) such as CCS, CCS-P,
CPC, or COC
Maintains coding credentials through continuing education
activities
Experience with Epic, 3M encoder, and Microsoft Office applications
is preferred
